CAPM Annual Meeting – Ottawa 2017 2017-12-05T16:10:16+00:00

Join us on Sept. 13, 2017 in Ottawa for the CAPM Annual Meeting!

The Canadian Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine (CAPM) is one of four academies of the Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA).  Each year, prior to the CPA’s Annual Conference, CAPM hosts a full-day Annual Meeting.

The CAPM Annual Meeting typically attracts between 70 and 100 delegates—including psychiatrists, physicians, trainees and other health care professionals—who have an interest in the interface between mental and physical illness and well-being.  Attendees range from those in senior positions within their institutions and who have decades of clinical experience to senior residents and fellows who will soon be transitioning to independent practice.

Meeting Location

Level 2, Room 210
Shaw Centre
55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON

The program will highlight some of the most common clinical issues faced by psychiatrists who consult to general medical and surgical settings. Presentations will be offered on the psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic aspects of managing these issues, as well as the ethical dilemmas that can occur.
